The Clarinet in the Modern and  Contemporary Repertoire.

The course is open to musicians and composers and will be focused on the study of modern and contemporary repertoire for clarinet, bass clarinet and ensemble.

It will focus on the study of the repertoire, contemporary notation, interpretation, and performance of pieces from the repertoire of modern and contemporary music, as well as learning extended techniques.

Students can freely choose solo or ensemble pieces (duo, trio, quartet, and so on) from the repertoire of the 20th and 21st century.

The course will also include elements of improvisation techniques.

The students will learn the essential tools to undertake and improve this repertoire, both from a composition and performance point of view.

At the end of the course, students will perform a final concert, playing the pieces studied during the masterclass and, where required, the works of the composers that will take part in the courses.
